Spot the difference
The location of the poles and their extreme conditions make them ideal places to study science that relates to the entire planet. During International Polar Year 2007-08, 10,000 scientists from over 60 countries are undertaking research for a better understanding of how the Earth is changing so we can predict as accurately as possible the impact that climate change will have on our environment and way of life.
